Colitis is a painful, often debilitating, inflammatory diseases of the intestinal tract. While most drugs work poorly and only attempt to deal with the symptoms of colitis, it is possible to get over colitis by dealing with the underlying causes of it.

COLITIS CAUSED BY A VIRUS

Researchers have found that colitis is most likely caused by a virus. The virus releases toxins, which irritate the wall of the intestine and may cause the damage seen in colitis. If toxins were absorbed into the bloodstream, it would also explain the symptoms that occur outside the intestine such as arthritis, uveitis and skin lesions.

IMMUNE SYSTEM MALFUNCTION

Another problem associated with colitis is a disturbed immune system. The immune system is composed of immune cells and the proteins that these immune cells produce. Normally, these cells and proteins defend the body against harmful bacteria, viruses, fungi and other foreign organisms. Over activation of the immune system causes inflammation within the tissues where the activation occurs. (Inflammation is an important mechanism of defense used by the immune system.)

The rise in many new types of health problems like autoimmune diseases, indicate that human immune system functions are severely compromised.

Observers think that the lack of probiotic-type, beneficial gut bacteria is part of the cause. Over 400 distinct species of microorganisms normally inhabit the healthy human digestive tract and their collective quantity far exceeds the number of physiological tissue cells. WHAT TO DO?

Take 1 teaspoon of Alka Super C mixed with 2 teaspoons of Pepto Bismol, six times a day. The Pepto Bismol coats the stomach and intestinal walls, the Alka Super C, as it is mixed in with the Pepto Bismol, is then held on the walls where it can better kill pathogens and candida. This does a much better job of killing pathogens causing ulcers or in the intestines, IBS, Crohn's or Colitis, then anything that is typically suggested. (As these pathogens are locaated on the walls of the stomach or intestines.) Works on SIBO too.

Alka Super C is alkaline so it helps reduce inflammation on top of killing the pathogens causing Colitis.

Do this protocol for two weeks for stomach ulcers. For colitis, follow this protocol for 3 to 4 weeks and also for other intestinal issues. If you can't stand taking the Pepto Bismol, not quite as good, but still worth doing, is to get some mastic gum powder or open up mastic gum capsules. Mix 2 capsules worth of the powder, about half a teaspoon, in a tablespoon of water, add in the teaspoon of Alka Super C and drink. Take on an empty stomach. Pepto Bismol and Alka Super C can be taken with or without food.
